January 13th 2010 - NSW Regional Trucking Forum 2010
The 2010 NSW Regional Trucking Forum will be held on Saturday 6th February 2010 from 9.30am at the Dubbo RSL, Brisbane St. Dubbo, NatRoad Director John Morris, confirmed today.
This year's theme will be "Promoting Road Safety through Compliance and Awareness".
“A core focus of the event will be on the increasing use of innovative multi-combination High Productivity Vehicles, and the subsequent access being achieved by our lobbying efforts on this front”, Mr Morris said.
National Transport Commission Chairman, Greg Martin, will be attending, along with representatives from the NSW Roads & Traffic Authority and the NSW Police Highway Patrol.
The event will include practical presentations to achieve the best outcomes for their community in regard to safe and efficient road freight, including the upcoming multi-combination High Productivity Vehicle Demonstration planned for the first quarter of 2010. Other key topics will include:
High Productivity Vehicles (HPV) - Where to from here? How do we 'make it happen'?
- B-Triples & AB-Triples - why has there been virtually no take-up in NSW?
- Higher Mass Limits in NSW for tri-axle converter dollies
- Triples (Type 2) road trains to Nyngan in NSW
- The future of BAB Quads and ABB Quads in NSW
- Single National Regulator for Heavy Vehicles
The event will be followed by the popular 2010 Annual 'Road Train' Dinner and Auction at the RSL auditorium.
